Kinship House is a 9-unit apartment building designated especially for kinship families (older adult relatives, usually grandparents, raising children) and older adult volunteers. And, Kinship House is green – a LEED Gold Certified building.*
It is part of Kinship Village, a planned community which promotes successful aging for all and offers a supportive environment for kinship caregivers. In addition to the apartments, Kinship Village includes several townhouses, which were doctors’ and officers’ quarters when the campus was a Marine hospital.
